    Home Equity Loan

A loan that is guaranteed by your home or secured by the equity in a home is called Home Equity Loan. Home loans are secured loans, which is a lower risk for the lender. This means that you have more chance of getting the loan you want, and you will find far lower rate of interest rates attached to these simply because they are secured.

Home Equity Loan is also considered as a second mortgage or Equity loan. If used wisely, a home equity loan can help people pay off their huge interest rates, non tax-deductible consumer debt or meet other short term needs such as payment on a remodeling project.

Benefits of a home equity loan

    • Home Equity loan can be the best option if you need to repair or reconstruct your home for debt consolidation or for medical or educational expenses.
    • It can be used for home improvement
    • It can be used for investment in other real estate
    • It can be used to refinance your other debt
    • It can be used for debt consolidation
    • It can be used for some major purchases and expenses
    • It can be used for auto or boat loans
    • It can be used to get rid of credit card debts
    • It can be used to pay off your medical debt
    • It can be used to meet your educational loans
    • It can be used to meet your wedding expenses
    • It can also be used to meet your vacation expenses

    Types of Home Equity Loans
There are two different types of home equity loans
    1. Standard home equity loan
    2. Home Equity line of credit

You’ve worked hard to increase your home’s value, and you can put that value to work with a Home Equity Loan or a Home Equity Line of Credit.

Seven Important Areas Entrepreneurs Should Consider When Evaluating An Internet or Home Based Business

“Is there anyone so wise as to learn by the experience of others?” ~Voltaire

If you are considering a home based or online business, there are seven critical things you should consider in your evaluation. After reading books The 4-Hour Work Week by Timothy Ferris and The Sovereign Individual: Mastering The Transition To The Modern Age by James Dale Davidson and Lord William Rees-Mogg, I had a vision of what I wanted in a business that would allow me to travel and work when and where I wanted. I wanted simplicity, high compensation, and ultimately freedom, both financial freedom and time freedom.

Thinking about the following crucial aspects of a home based or online business will save you much time, money, and stress as you take on a very rewarding career or better yet, adventure.

Product – Unique and in Demand

With all the products on the Internet, it is important that you should ask yourself, “Is this unique? Do people need or want this?”

Is this another brand of juice, or vitamins? Some companies already have the lion’s share of the market. Is the company you’re looking at able to compete with the larger established companies? How, if it’s not unique, will it deal with the domination of the competition?

Is the product in demand? A unique product in and of itself will not be enough. Will this product be of use? Will it help people make their lives better? Does it add value to peoples lives? If you remove the product from the business opportunity would the product still be in demand?

    Lucrative Compensation Plan

The new entrepreneur needs income from two sources: high up front income to immediately help with finances and high back end residual income for future freedom and retirement. Most people want to supplement their income and eventually make the business full time. High up front income is important to allow the new entrepreneur to start making a living quickly from his or her work. No one wants to wait for years to see an improvement in income. Look for products that sell from 0 to more than 00 with fifty percent commission rates.

High back-end residual income is also important. The ultimate goal is freedom. If there is no residual income, you are stuck working the business all the time and will burn out.

    Marketing System

This is a key area to consider. How does the company market it’s products? Does the system incorporate the Internet? If not, are you willing to talk to people, friends and family, host parties, or make cold calls? Even if you are theoretically willing, will you enjoy it? If not, you most likely will not do it. If the system does incorporate the Internet, does it show you how to market online? Or will it just give you a replicate website and leave you on your own to bring traffic to your site. Online marketing works, but you need to learn how. Will the company train you in different strategies for different budgets, from low budgets of less than 0 – to high budgets of more than 00?

    Management

What is the background of the companies management? Do they have a proven record? Are they well respected in the industry? There’s nothing more disappointing than to build your business over time and have the management take off with all the profits or go bankrupt.

    Global Expansion

Can the company easily move into other national markets? Consumable products are difficult to establish due to the various national laws. Information products, however, are the easiest to market across borders.

    Give Back To World

Does the company believe that it has a responsibility to give back to the world community. Is it charitable? Does the company culture believe that giving is part of it’s purpose and not just making a profit?

    Help and Support Staff

Does the company have a help and support staff to help you begin building your business? Can you turn to a company forum of fellow entrepreneurs to help you and give you advice and ideas? Will you have rely only on your sponsor or worse, will you be completely alone?

Before jumping into a home based or Internet Business, consider these questions. Learn from the experience of others before handing over your money and time. It can be highly rewarding and lucrative if done right. Learn and copy the pros and save yourself the pain of their mistakes.

  • Saving For Retirement Is Something Many People Put Off, But Why?

Posted on September 3rd, 2010 admin No comments

Saving For Retirement Is Something Many People Put Off, But Why?

Saving for retirement is something many people put off and put off thinking they will start next year or the next. Then, all of a sudden, individuals are in their 40s or 50s and have no retirement money to speak of and then panic starts to sink in. However, there is no need to panic because there is still plenty of time to do some things to get your retirement account into shape. The things you need to do include coming up with a number you need for retirement, income sources during retirement, saving goals, making 401 k contributions, investing aggressively, and downsizing if necessary and eliminating all debt.

The first thing you should do if you are worried about your retirement is to figure out how much money, realistically, you will need during retirement. If you have no clue how to go about doing this then you need to go online and use a retirement calculators to help you get a clue.

Once you have an idea of what you need for retirement then you can subtract any sources of income you will receive during your retirement from social security, pensions, 401 k or other sources.
Then you need to sit down with your spouse and set some serious savings goals. This is not the time to invest a little here or a little there, but to set some real goals. There are plenty of creative things you can do as well that will save you real money and not interfere with your lifestyle. These include packing your lunch, shopping with coupons, carpooling, and other similar actions.

Now that you know your goals, you can start depositing as much money as possible into your 401k. This is especially a good retirement tool if your employer also offers a matching program.

Invest aggressively in mutual funds as well as the stock market. You have at least a decade or more before retirement, so don’t get conservative now. Hire a stock broker to guide you if you want, but you can make some serious money if you know what you are doing.

If you are still concerned about your retirement and how you will possibly make ends meet then you might need to downsize your current lifestyle. If you are incurring a lot of debt, get rid of the credit cards. If you are living in a large home, move to a smaller home. Things like this are difficult to do, but they will make a big difference in your retirement.

The most important thing for you to do is pay off all of your debt. The more debt you have the more interest you will have to pay which means you may never pay if off if you are only making minimum payments. So, go ahead and get aggressive with debt and take care of it now. This may be one of the most important things you can do to ensure a happy retirement.

  • Will Hedge Funds be the New Banks? New York Managers Expect Bright Future

Posted on September 3rd, 2010 admin No comments

Will Hedge Funds be the New Banks? New York Managers Expect Bright Future

    Detailed Description-

New York, June 17th, 2008 — Opalesque, the world’s largest subscription-based publisher covering the alternative investment industry, has launched the sixth issue of its acclaimed regional Roundtable scripts, the “Opalesque New York Roundtable” (download here: http://www.opalesque.com/index.php?act=static&and=RoundtableNY)

Some hedge funds have already started to position themselves as a merchant bank with investment banking capabilities to originate structures. This allows the manager to change cash flows as he wants them, and to be a principal investor. Hedge funds have started to build their own channels of origination and enter direct lending.

These hedge funds will be able to build a strong financial services company-type balance sheet – a “real” corporate balance sheet to borrow and raise equity against. Are hedge funds crossing into the banking world? What does that mean for investors and the financial industry?

Readers of the Opalesque New York Roundtable will get first hand intelligence on:

What is the future of today’s hedge funds?
What is ‘permitted disintermediation’? Will hedge funds be the new banks?
What will happen in the distressed space? Where is the economy heading?
‘We are seeing tremendous opportunities in multiple asset classes, some we have not seen in almost a decade’ – where are these opportunities? Or is the current floor not a floor at all?  Why AIG is setting up a hedge fund seeding joint venture now?

The Opalesque New York Roundtable was sponsored by the Abernathy McGregor Group (www.abmac.com) and took place in their New York office.

    Participating Managers:

1.Glenn August, President Oak Hill Advisers LP

    2.Tom Priore, CEO of ICP

3.Justin B. Dew, Managing Director, Clinton Group

4.George A. Kellner, Kellner DiLeo & Co., Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer

5.Keith M. Moore, PhD, Kellner DiLeo & Co., Principal, Portfolio Manager, Merger Arbitrage and Opportunities Funds and Director of Risk Management and Quantitative Analysis

    Participating Allocators:

1.Girish Reddy, Managing Partner of Prisma Capital Partners

    2.Antonio Munoz, CEO EIM USA

3.Rob Discolo, Head of Hedge Fund Strategies Group at AIG

4.Kevin Heller, Head of Research, Focus Group

Each week, Opalesque publications are read by more than 400,000 industry professionals in over 100 countries.

Opalesque is the only daily hedge fund publisher which is actually read by the elite managers themselves (http://www.opalesque.com/op_testimonials.html). For more information, please go to http://www.opalesque.com.

Government of Pakistan seems to have limited funds to help them but thank God that a lot of generous people are either giving their monitory support or their services. Media channels are reporting lack of public trust on Government though. So this has left me no choice but to work with our military/armed forces relief camps here (details www.ispr.gov.pk ) cuz none of the MNA or MPA are being seen in their areas wher they were elected by the people who are affected now. Am also pleased to see that the army camps here are not taking cash at all to avoid any kind of controversy on their repute. They are just making packets of food taken from public and arranging it in the form of one carton per

You Too Can Win the Retirement Game

You Too Can Win the Retirement Game

You have spent all your working years thinking about that glorious time called retirement. It’s just around the corner or maybe it’s already here. And now it’s time to step up to the plate and play the retirement game. Unfortunately, the game has changed many times over the last few decades. Pensions were once a staple part of the retirement game. Today they are almost non existent. Legend has it that the retirement age of 65 came from a business owner that figured 65 was the age that most of his employees would have passed on to other pastures. Tax laws and Social Security change every couple of years. Inflation, lifestyle and medical expenses are things that retirees once worried little about. Today they are huge issues facing anyone retiring. The retirement game has become very complicated. But don’t worry there are things that you can do to win at the retirement game.

As you approach the retirement game there are some things that you must do. First, define the game you are playing. You make your own rules. What things must you do? What things can you not do? You need real clarity here. That doesn’t mean the game can’t change or morph over time, it just means you have to know what game you are playing now. Everyone’s game is slightly different. It will depend on your resources, temperament, objectives, goals and aspirations. Taking all these into account you have to turn your situation into a winnable game. Make sure you have an extremely clear definition of what Winning means to you.

The next thing you must do is develop and practice your skills and strategies for winning. How are you going to go about winning? Are you going to work part time or not? Are you going to travel or not? Are you going to change your lifestyle drastically or not? These are all about the strategy of winning your game. If you don’t have a clear definition of winning, it is close to impossible to win.

The next phase in winning the retirement game is winning the inner game. Just like any athlete that is competing needs to win his inner game before he can win his outer game, in the retirement game you must win your inner game first. This is all about your thinking and belief system and what it tells you about your world. You must master this part of the game if you want to win the retirement game.

Next you need to find ways to perfect areas of your environment to make sure that they support you at winning your game. These include the environment of ideas, physical, relationship, spiritual, etc. Ideally you want more environments supporting, inspiring and prodding you to win the goal than not. IF the environments are right winning is a lot easier.

Finally, keep score. Hew well are you doing at your game? Which areas need work? How can you get better? What can you do to make sure that you really will win the retirement game?

If you feel that you need help, that is what financial advisors are for. Find one that specializes in your game. Preparing for your retirement and managing retirement are two very different fields. If you feel you want an advisor make sure he knows your game and your objective and understands it clearly so that he too can help you win.

When you approach your retirement from the prospective of a game, and the objective of winning the game, you will be amazed at how much fun it becomes. You get invigorated and can look at your situation better and in a more playful way. But maybe most important you can create a winnable game for your retirement that will truly put you in the winners box.

Financial freedom of America-Get Better Educated

If you’re like rest of the world most people are very knowledgeable in what they do for a living but when it comes to money most of the world does not know a lot about their own finances. Financial freedom of America will be the new term for the next decade. Teaching people how to take care of their finances and stop letting the government and agencies control your money. True financial freedom in America in two words means better education.

As we all know traditional companies that people give their money to and try to build long-term wealth or retirement income are not as reliable as in the past. Let’s take several examples and go a little bit more in detail why the financial freedom of America is going downhill.

Let’s start with the housing economy:

The last several years the housing market has just totally flipped upside down and creditors allowing people to get mortgages they normally couldn’t afford put millions of people in foreclosure jeopardy. If we were better educated about our financial situations then the drastic statistics might have been lower.

    Also credit cards:

If the housing lenders were the only thing bringing financial freedom in America down well we might have been able to pull out of a bad situation sooner or later. But the credit card companies have ruined Americans way of dealing with the financial problems of the world. Just several years ago credit card debt was at a unbelievable amount at .2 trillion in debt. This debt is just credit card debt not overall debt of America . People are buying way too much then they can afford and also taking cash advances to try and advance their income. All the while credit card companies aren’t helping out as they are increasing the fees and reducing your credit limit.

These two examples alone is what is killing the financial freedom of America. Americans and the world for that matter want to turn back the crisis in time but 95% of Americans do not even know where to start. So the economy keeps spiraling downward as we sit on our thumbs but lucky for us there is places to start educating about financial freedom.

You no longer have to have an investment broker, financial planner, or and individual representative from a company that will give you advice. You literally can do that on your own but finding the information you need or the right advice because the advice from these three people alone is altogether different. However finding the right information is easy when the advice is from experts in all of the fields you are acquiring about.Make sure you check the qualifications and their references or most of all the credentials of the companies or services before you go any further.

I do have a lot of expertise in this field, so finding these proper companies that will educate you in how to understand about financial freedom in America are out there but no one knows where to look. What I mean by educating you is strictly a company that will explain in simple details that anyone can understand. It doesn’t mean we are dumb or lack the intelligence it simply means for so long we have taken for granted the financial companies to explain it to us.As we all know look at the mess they have gotten us into.

It might seem a daunting task to ask a company but guess what it is your right to make sure you are making sound decisions for your financial freedom and future. Not only should these companies be able to apply to your requests but also ask questions like are there ways to increase your cash flow or your income from home. There are opportunities out there but very few people know about them. Now that you know you can ask these questions and find out these answers don’t be afraid to want the very best for you and your family.

  • Having Equity In Your Home

    Having Equity In Your Home

If you are a homeowner then you should make building equity in your home one of your number one priorities. The reason for this is that equity in your home is like having cash in your bank account because you are able to borrow against it for a variety of different purposes. Also, when you build equity in your home it means you are that many dollars closer to owning your home outright. There are quite a few things you can do in order to build equity in your home that include making a higher down payment, additional principal payments, shorter mortgage, as well as focusing on home improvements.

Making a large down payment helps you build equity in your home because every dollar you pay in your down payment goes directly to your equity. Because of this, saving money in order to make large down payments has several benefits. First, it automatically increases your equity as means that you will require a lower loan amount which means you will pay less money in interest. So, if there is any way you can make a large down payment make every effort to do so.

Another way to build equity in your home it makes more payments on principal than is required. This is important because every dollar paid on principal means another dollar built in equity and less money that will accrue interest. So, even if you can only make small extra payments on principal now still go ahead and get in the practice of doing so. It will really pay off in the long run.

Also, sacrifice in the short run and have a short mortgage term rather than a long one. By doing this you do several things. First, you pay more money per month on your loan, but you will have less money accrued in interest and build equity significantly faster. Also, if you have a short loan period you will save a considerable amount of money that would be accrued in interest otherwise and the peace of mind of knowing that you own your home much faster.

Investing in home improvements is another way you can build your equity. The reason this builds equity is because when you make home improvements you increase the value of your home, which means you will be able to build more equity. However, there are some things to keep in mind when considering home improvements. For example, home improvements to kitchens and bathrooms always increase the value of your home more so than external improvements like swimming pools or fences.

If you are interested in building home equity then make a plan that includes the following tips and make sure you follow it diligently. By doing this you will build equity in your home quickly and efficiently.
